Beta Terms

Terms for the free YourView beta in the United Kingdom. Account creation is available directly to eligible adults.

Effective and last updated: 18 October 2026

Who we are and when these Terms apply

YourView is operated by Caner Altinbasak as a sole trader from England. Contact [email protected] for service questions.

These Terms apply when you create or use an account, create or share a feedback request, submit feedback, or otherwise use the beta. The Privacy Notice explains how personal information is used.

Eligibility and beta access

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be in the United Kingdom and use the service only as part of the UK beta.
  • Account access is personal. Provide accurate account information, keep credentials confidential, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
  • The beta is free. It does not include a subscription, paid plan, guaranteed entitlement, service-level agreement or promise of future availability.

Use YourView responsibly

You must not use YourView to:

  • harass, threaten, shame, discriminate against or unlawfully monitor a person, or create public reputation scores;
  • impersonate someone, misrepresent authority, or invite feedback about a person in a deceptive or unsafe way;
  • submit unlawful, defamatory, infringing, malicious or exploitative content;
  • request or disclose passwords, authentication tokens, financial details, health details, government identifiers, intimate information or other unnecessary sensitive information;
  • probe, bypass or disrupt security, rate limits, bot protection, access controls or service capacity; or
  • use automated access, scraping or bulk submission unless we have agreed it in writing.

Owners and responders

Request owners are responsible for choosing an appropriate subject, audience, introduction and questions; having a proper reason to use a person's name or photo; sharing the request only with intended adults; and using resulting insights fairly. Do not invite people where participation could feel compulsory or create a material risk to them.

Responders are responsible for their submissions. Give honest, constructive feedback based on your experience. Avoid names, secrets, allegations stated as fact, and details that identify you or another person unnecessarily.

Your content and the licence we need

You keep any rights you hold in content you submit. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide it and that our use under these Terms will not violate another person's rights.

You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for only as long as necessary to host, copy, secure, transmit, moderate, transform and analyse the content; operate the feedback request; and produce private derived reports. This licence includes allowing the processors named in the Privacy Notice to perform those tasks for us. It ends when the content is permanently deleted, subject to the disclosed backup, provider and legal-retention limits.

Privacy, confidentiality and anonymity

We design feedback to be anonymous to the request owner: we do not ask for responder identity and do not give the owner a raw comment feed. This is not a promise of absolute anonymity. Text may identify its author, technical providers process security signals, and no online service can guarantee perfect confidentiality or security.

Owners must not try to re-identify responders or combine insights with other information to punish, rank or target someone. Everyone must respect private request links and must not publish private reports without an appropriate lawful basis and the necessary rights.

AI output is assistance, not advice

YourView uses AI to draft questions, assess submission safety, reduce identification risk and generate patterns or comparisons. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased or misleading and may miss unsafe or identifying text. It is not legal, medical, employment, financial, psychological or other professional advice.

Do not make a significant decision about a person solely from a YourView report. You are responsible for checking context, exercising your own judgment and seeking qualified advice where appropriate.

Beta limits, changes and availability

The beta has finite account, request, response, image, email and AI capacity. We may change features or limits, pause creation or processing, correct or remove content, restrict account creation, or suspend access to protect people, security, reliability or the law. We will act reasonably and, where practical, explain a material account action.

You may stop using the beta at any time. Owners can remove a request from public access and can permanently delete their account. Request removal is not immediate database erasure; the Privacy Notice explains deletion and provider timing.

We provide the beta with reasonable care and skill, but do not promise uninterrupted, error-free or permanently available service. There is no service-level agreement. Planned or urgent maintenance, provider failure, security controls or capacity may make the beta unavailable.

Responsibility if something goes wrong

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory statutory rights.

If you use the beta as a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, that you could reasonably have avoided, or for business losses arising from consumer use. We have not set a fixed monetary liability cap for this beta; responsibility remains subject to applicable law and the fairness of these Terms.

Ending access

We may suspend or end access where you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms, create a safety or security risk, exceed beta capacity, or where continuing the service would be unlawful or impracticable. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to correct a remediable breach. Terms that must logically survive, including rights in existing content, privacy, liability and dispute provisions, continue after access ends.

Law, disputes and changes

These Terms and the beta are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you keep any mandatory protections available under your local law and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law. Nothing here deprives a UK consumer of mandatory rights.

Please contact [email protected] first so we can try to resolve a concern. We may update these Terms as the beta changes. We will update the date above and give reasonable notice of a material change before it applies. If you do not agree, stop using the beta and, if you own an account, delete it before the change takes effect.
